Based in Chicago, Illinois, Robert Arlen Hotz is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) at The Chicago School. He is completing an APA-accredited program with an expected graduation date of May 2028. He earned his BA in psychology from New York University. Throughout his education, Robert Arlen Hotz has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, and clinical training.
As an undergraduate student, Robert Hotz was awarded a Merit Scholarship for outstanding academic achievements. He further assisted in research at NYU’s Department of Neuroscience, where he set up, conducted, and recorded trials, even receiving a Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund Grant. He also completed an 80-hour hypnosis training course at New York Hypnosis Training Center.
While studying at The Chicago School, Robert Hotz earned the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis Fellowship Certificate and completed several psychological and neuropsychological assessments. He is currently doing an advanced assessment practicum at the Rush Neurobehavioral Center, where he conducts testing, scoring, and comprehensive report writing under supervision. His prior assessment training includes forensic competency evaluations with the New Mexico Center for Forensic Psychology and extensive neuropsychological diagnostic work at the Landstrom Center.
Robert Hotz has also worked in both private practice and school-based environments, providing care to diverse populations. He is a published coauthor in the journal Nature Communications, and his doctoral dissertation examines ADHD as a mediating factor between childhood trauma and adult crime. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, boxing, andplaying the piano.
